QR code menus for restaurants

Contactless ordering that saves time and print

A menu QR code lets guests open your food and drink list on their own phone — no app, no shared paper. For a café or restaurant it means faster tables, instant updates when a dish sells out, and one less thing to reprint.

What to encode

Point the code at a web menu, a PDF, or your ordering page. Web links are easiest to update; a PDF is great when you want a fixed, printable layout. Use the URL or PDF content type in QRVolt and keep the link short and stable.

Where to place it

  1. Tables & counters. A small tent card or sticker within easy camera range.
  2. Window & door. Attract walk-ins with “Scan to see the menu”.
  3. Receipts & takeaway bags. Reinforce the link after the visit.
  4. Social & Google listing. Add the menu link so it shows before they arrive.

Make it scannable

Print at a size that works from arm’s length (at least 2–3 cm / 1 inch), keep a quiet zone, and use error correction H if you add a logo. Test the code with a real phone in the lighting of your venue before mass printing — QRVolt lets you verify the scan immediately.
